Mrs. Edith Ferguson Steptoe "Babe" formerly of Columbia Ave. passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at The Lynchburg Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 12, 1926 to the late Doddridge and Susie Davidson Ferguson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick "Pat" Steptoe; a sister, Geneva "Sis" F. Weaver; two brothers, Lawrence and Eugene "Red" Ferguson.
She joined the White Rock Baptist Church at an early age.
She is survived by a son, Tommy Ricardo "Ricky" Steptoe; a sister, Ms. Irma F. Clayton, of Cleveland, OH; two grandsons, Jacque Steptoe, of Maryland and Patrick Steptoe, of Lynchburg; granddaughters, Courtney Steptoe Puryear and Tiffany Steptoe; sister-in-law, Yvonne T. Ferguson and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Dr. Carl B. Hutcherson, officiating and Dr. Antoine L.T.R Edwards, as eulogist.
