Earl Leroy Madison, 77, of Lynchburg, VA passed away on Wednesday January 8th, 2025. He was born on March 29, 1947, to George and Bernice Madison. Following graduation from Campbell County High School in 1965, he joined the Navy. After 25 years of service with UPS he retired.
Earl loved to go to drag races and loved throwing horseshoe.
Earl accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of MT. Evergreen Baptist Church. Later he moved his membership to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and continued to attend until his health declined.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 56 years, Kitty L. Madison, one son, Keith E. Madison, one granddaughter, Mykayla Madison, one sister, Jean Cobbs. He was preceded in death by one sister, Yvonne Colmore. With a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that loved him.
A homegoing celebration will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
