Dwight Perry Dawson entered into eternal rest on Saturday October 13, 2018. He was born June 10, 1948 to the late Charles Dawson Jr and Elva Carpenter Dawson. He was also preceded in death by his brother Charles Dawson lll (Edna) and his niece Tammy Megginson.
Dwight leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 51 year Lindale Megginson Dawson, and to this union 3 loving children were born, Lynwood Dawson and Sylvia Dawson of Gladstone Va, Pamela Dawson of Herndon Va, 4 grandchildren, Ian Dawson of Gladstone Va, Kanisha Dawson of Rustburg Va, Tanisha Jones (Gerard) of Knightdale NC, and Roderick Richerson of Lynchburg VA and a host of other relatives and friends.
Dwight found Christ at an early age where he joined the Galilee Baptist Church where he was a faithful member and served as a trustee until his health declined. Dwight retired from Archer Creek Foundry after many years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and baking sweets, but most of all he loved the Lord.
