You're always there to help
No matter what life brings;
To laugh with me, to be proud of me,
And share all the happy things.

But even more importantly
You're there when plans go wrong
To help me work things out
When disappointments come along.

And so, I want to thank you, Mom,
And tell you lovingly
You are the best thing
Life has given me!

Dorothy Christian Garland, of Lynchburg passed away, Thursday November 14, 2013 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was born January 6, 1946 to the late Percy Taylor and Lilian Christian. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish her memories are four daughters, Linda D. Christian, Helen R. Christian, Hazel C. Beverley and Latrenda S. Sandidge; two sons, Thomas A. Sandidge and Bruce W. Sandidge; four sisters, Rosa C. Sandidge, Mary L. Christian, Mildred T. Carter and Christine T. Smith; two brothers, George J. Christian and Percy Taylor; seventeen grandchildren; one special great grandson, Caden Christian; two great granddaughters and a host of other relatives and friends.
