Obituary

Doris Lee Thurman Johnson 70, of 4619 A Latham St. Lynchburg passed away, Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Doris was born in Amherst, County to the late Rudolph and Mable Thurman. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Coolwell and a former member of the Scott Zion Baptist Church.
She's survivied by her five children, Judy (Jeffrey) Martin, of Rustburg, Shirley (Richard) Ward, Rose Johnson, both of Lynchburg, Lawrence Johnson, of Bowie, MD and Early R. (Nudia) Johnson, Naples, FL; a devoted brother, Rudolph Thurman, of Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren, Twala, Crystal (Cory), Kellye, Keith, Raquan, Shaquan, Shamika, James, Alisha; 11 great grandchildren, Father of her children, Early (Marion) Johnson; six sister-in-laws, two devoted nieces, Amanda Fergerson and Eunice Johnson; devoted cousin, Jessie Booker and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank, Dialysis Center, Dr. Lockridge, Dr. Gile and staff also nurses and cna's, Brandy Webb, Sandy Short, Jennifer Shelton, Krystal Dalrymple,
Mine Kim, Susan Major, Chaplin Mark Puritt and her caregiver, Fallon Braxton, good friend Edith Jones, Jasper Guthrie, Gail Partridge and Ruth Scott. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 20, 2008 at First Baptist Church, Coolwell with Rev. Charles Frye, officiating and Rev. Ernest P. Scott as Eulogist.
