Doretha "Dobie" Hall, 60, of Amherst passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born June 10, 1954 to the late William Campbell and Mamie Canada Campbell.
In addition to her parents William and Mamie Campbell she was preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Campbell, Sr.
"Dobie" received a certificate in CNA and she joined St. Mary's Baptist Church in Lowesville, VA at an early age.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, a wonderful devoted husband, Michael T. Hall of forty years; her two devoted children, Caridio and Trixy Hall of Detroit, MI and Evis and William Davis of Amherst; four sisters, Linda Richerson, Deborah Sandidge, Kimberly Campbell, all of Amherst and Vanessa (Anthony) Wright, of Virginia Beach; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; four bothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday at St. Mary's Baptist Church, Lowesville with Rev. Troy Anderson, officiating. The interment will be the Sales Family Cemetery.
