It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Donna (Faucett) Walrath, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, on September 23, 2026. Born on July 1, 1946, in Norwich, NY, Donna was the cherished daughter of the late George and Alice Faucett. She departed this world peacefully at home after a brief but brave battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of her family.

Donna’s life was a testament to love, kindness, and resilience. Raised in a family that valued compassion and community, she was predeceased by her parents, George and Alice Faucett; her grandparents, Vivian and Leo Jameson; her cherished love, David Coral; her brothers, George and Robert Faucett; and the father of her children, Arthur Walrath, Sr. Despite these profound losses, Donna’s spirit remained undaunted, and her capacity to love seemed to grow ever stronger.

She is survived by her loving children, Lisa Krips (Pete Bulgart), Timothy Walrath, and John Walrath, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy of love extends to her grandchildren, Nicole (Pete) Burdick, Felisha (Luis) Ibarwen, Brittney (Joseph) Vasquez, and Brian Couch; and her great-grandchildren, Anthony Nemecek, Kaden and Kameron Randall, and Jayce Burdick, who will carry forward her gentle spirit and loving heart. Donna is also survived by her brother, Leo Casey Faucett; brother-in-law, Robert (Winifred) Lisenby; close friends, Helen and Linda; and many nieces and nephews who adored her.

Donna was a beacon of warmth and kindness, known affectionately as “Grammy” by many, whether related by blood or bound by love. Her favorite saying, “I love you a bushel and a peck, and a hug around your neck,” resonated with everyone she cherished. Her home was always open, and her heart was as vast as the ocean, offering a hug to anyone in need.

Her academic journey saw her graduate from Dryden High School and further her studies with business classes at Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3). Donna was a dedicated member of The Cortland Grange, where she forged lifelong friendships and contributed to her community. She had a passion for reading and treasured the moments spent with her grandchildren, who brought endless joy to her days.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Kerry, her diligent caregiver, whose compassion and dedication provided comfort to Donna in her final days.

Donna’s life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and a profound sense of belonging. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy of kindness and love will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
