Delores A. Loving
Delores A. Loving of Lynchburg passed gently into eternal life on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on November 14, 1967 to the late Palina "Babe" Roseanna Anderson.
She was preceded in death by two special aunts: Mrs. Adell Franklin Morgan and Mrs. Mary Brown; one brother: Mr. Bernard Burton.
Delores accepted Christ in 2001 at Temple Baptist Church. She was a devoted Christian. Delores, along with her husband, joined Beulah Baptist Church in early 2013. Immediately she started using her God-given singing talent by becoming a member of the adult choir. Recently, Delores became involved in the church's Homebound Ministry, sending greeting cards to brighten the day of members who are unable to leave their homes.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband Steve Loving of Lynchburg; three step-children: Stephanie Mayo (Francisco) of Madison Heights, VA; Shannon Jones of Richmond, VA; Dewayne Jones of Richmond, VA; two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Wright (Larry), of Concord, VA and Fannie Duigid (Nat), of Amherst, VA; three brothers-in-law: George "Ray" Loving of Amherst, VA; James "Jimmy" Loving of Madison Heights, VA; Nathaniel Loving (Rebecca), of Tennessee; 11 grandchildren; a devoted cousin: Curtis Franklin (Electra), of Hampton, VA and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1 at Beulah Baptist Church in Lynchburg. The Reverend Dr. Dennis Hollandsworth and Mr. Rhudy Camper will be officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Her remains will be open to the public one hour prior to the service at the church.
