On Jan. 2, 2011, Deaconess Carrie Lee Clark answered the call of her heavenly Father from labor to rest at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born March 16, 1929 she was the daughter of the late, Sidney and Daisy Johnson. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Delaware H. Clark; one son, Ronnie A. Johnson; brothers, Ernest, Dewey, Thomas, Robert and Woody Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her children, Sidney Johnson, Amanda (Joann) Ferguson, Eunice and Donna Johnson and Donnie (Reatha) Johnson; step daughter, Inez Hanks; one brother, Early Johnson; sisters, Daisy (Reuben) Jones, Rosa Brown and Nancy Johnson; sisters-in-law, Eva, Mary, Marion and Dorothy Johnson; very devoted sister-in-law and friend, Deaconess Emma Johnson; special friend, Edith Jones and her pray warrior, Deaconess Clementine Franklin; 12 grand children; 17 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday Jan. 6, 2011 at First Baptist Church, Coolwell with Rev. Ernest Scott, officiating and Rev. Charles Frye, Pastor as Eulogist. The interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence of Reuben and Daisy Jones, 299 Stage Rd. Amherst. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service.
