Deacon William Burnette Turner, Jr. passed on to glory after a long illness on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Lynchburg Hospital. He is the eldest son of three. He was preceded in death by his father, William Burnette Turner, Sr. and his mother, Ethel Harris Turner of Spout Spring, Virginia.

William is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Celestral S. Turner, two daughters: Gwendolyn R. Turner, Spout Spring, VA and Tamera B. Turner, Hampton, VA, two brothers, Charles Leon Turner (Dora), Spout Spring, VA, Dr. Clinton V. Turner, Sr. (Aldora), Richmond, VA one niece, Kathryn D. Lockett (Dr. Ricky L).; (three nephews, Michael L. Turner, Esq. (Dr. Annette S.), Philadelphia, PA; Clinton V. Turner, Jr. (Dr. Kara M.), Upper Marlboro, MD; Michael B. Turner, Oxnard, CA; three great nephews: Jared H. Turner, Alexander C. Turner, Philadelphia, PA and Marcus E. Turner, Clear Water, FL and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Monday, July 16, 2012 at Mt. Shiloh Baptist Church, Spout Springs, with Rev. Dr. Garry D. Moore officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery.
