David W. Simpson, 75, of Lynchburg passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2017 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother & sister-in-law, Norman Simpson and wife, Jean Simpson and he was also preceded in death by a devoted friend, Thomas McDaniel.

He graduated from Dumbar High School and was a former employee of Leggett/Belk then he pursued a position at the City of Lynchburg as custodian for the police department where he retired.

He leaves to cherish his memory many family and friends whom he loved to talk and hang out on 5 ^th St.
