Obituary

David Scott Morrison "Mouse" departed this life Sunday, July 10, 2022, at his residence. Born in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late William Morrison and Lillie Glover Morrison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Brian McCoy, three brothers Joseph, James, and Milton Morrison, and two sisters Elizabeth Harvey and Naomi Morrison.

David was an active member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church where he sang with The New Horizon Singers. He attended Dunbar High School where he was a drum major for the marching band. He was also an Indianapolis Colts fan.

David is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years Victoria Ferdinandes Morrison, one son Stewart Booker, three daughters Bonita Morrison, Nicole Morrison, and Camika M. Vereen (Michael), eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, one sister Bessie Spearman (Lawrence), two sisters in law Louise Morrison and Mary Jane Morrison. He is also survived by two special cousins Mildred Carrington and Romania Carrington, loving cousins Thomas Glover, Samuel, and Maggie Glover, one goddaughter Wanda Lamberth (Bryant), his four-legged companion Rocky and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Baptist Cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
