David Allen Matthews, 68, of Danville, Virginia passed away on March 4, 2025, at Lynchburg General Hospital after a short battle with cancer.

Born on November 23, 1956, in Danville, Virginia, David spent most of his life working in construction before retiring.

David is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Matthews; his daughter, Carrie Matthews; and his sister, Linda Burton. He was predeceased by his sister, Cheryl Smith, and his brother, John Matthews.
