Obituary

Mr. Darryl Quentin Tucker was born June 17, 1964, to the late Georgia Mae Tucker and the late James Eugene Thomas. He gained his wings on December 23, 2023, at UVA hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia with his beloved wife, Sharon Tucker, and daughter, Shannan Mills by his side.

He was a loving husband, an amazing father, a supportive grandfather, a loyal big brother, a beloved uncle, a dedicated friend, and a world traveler. His personality was larger than life. He was an all-around good time, hard worker, and avid fan of the Washington Redskins. He worked many years as a rock mason. He was also a jack-of-all-trades--mechanic, handyman, cab/" guber" driver, and alcohol enthusiast.

He is also preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Calloway, and brother, Wesley Tucker.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memories his devoted wife of 27 years, Sharon Tucker; his children, Shannan Mills, Charlene Brown, twins, Brian and Brandon Wynn, Darryl Doubt, and Joseph Doubt; stepchildren, Shalena King, Daquan Ruff, Milton Hamilton, and Sierra Cash; the apples of his eye, his grandchildren, Da'Monté, Jasun, T'Quan, Arianna, Jordyn, Leon, Brian, Jr., and Briella; and his 10 step-grandchildren. His siblings, Valerie Hodges, Joseph Tucker, Dennis Calloway, James Calloway, Mary Calloway, Steve (Sharon) Calloway, and Joyce (Charles) Thompson. His aunts, Annie Hobson, Viola Tucker, Edythe Trent, and Sheilah Washington; uncles, Joseph (Laura) Washington, and Ronald Tucker. Lastly, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He will be deeply and greatly missed!

Always carry him in your heart and remember all the good times you have shared with him. This is not goodbye--it's see you later. Take comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain and having a grand time with those who have gone on before him.

Life is too short! Live life while you can. Go for the gusto, I did!
