Mr. Cory Ferris West of Amherst, VA passed away Sunday April 25, 2021 at UVA Medical Center. He was born February 21, 1982 to the late Odester & Betty West.

In addition to his parents Cory was preceded in death by his sister Caryn L. West. He was employed with Teva Pharmaceutical where he worked until his health failed. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Cory was always talking about catching or killing his next "Big one".

Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter Caryn E. (Heidi, Kourtney) West of Chesapeake, VA, sisters and brother Courtney (Eric) West of Glen Allen, VA, Marsha (Reza) Nikooforsat of Marietta, GA, Louise Marshall and Odea (Karen) West both of Lynchburg, VA; four aunts Annie M.(Junius) Barber of Tallahassee, FL, Shirley Christian, Evelyn Hutcherson and Geneva(Edgar) Moore both of Madison Heights, VA; two uncles Ferris (Annie) Williams of Memphis, TN, and Lawrence(Alice) West of Madison Heights, VA and host of loving nieces, nephews, special friends and relatives.

A graveside service will held 11AM Saturday, May 01, 2021 at First Baptist Church, Coolwell with Rev. Charles Frye, Eulogist. COVID precautions will be in place. Please wear your mask. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
