Consuelo Michelle Penn-Tabb known to most as "Conchi", beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Niece, and Friend passed away on May 1, 2024, in Lynchburg, Virginia, at the age of 67.

Born on July 18, 1956, in Lynchburg, Virginia, Consuelo touched the lives of many with her kindness, warmth, and dedication to others. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and friends.

Consuelo leaves behind a legacy of compassion and generosity that will forever be cherished. She had the pleasure of working for Central Elementary School, Investor's Bank, and at Central Virginia Community College. She also founded "Della Mae's Chicken Salad and Specialties" down at the Community Market some 30 years ago. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those she has encountered throughout her life.

Preceding her passing are her parents, Adelia Mae Ferguson Penn, George Dennis Penn, Sr., two brothers, George Penn, Jr. and Kenneth Penn, Sr.; and sister, Carol Sorrells.

"Conchi" leaves behind her son, Alejandrea d'Carlos Tabb; her daughter, Nakia Shie'neen Tabb; grand gurls, Aneaka Darea Tabb and Adelia Leondra Tabb; great grandsons, Jayce Anthony Tabb and Amiri Pierre McCaleb; and our humble steadfast, Christopher Rose. Three brothers, George Nappier (Susie), Wayne Penn (Janice), and Samuel Penn, Sr. (Shelby). Two sisters, Laverne Haskins (Ronald) and Patricia Watts. She is also survived by an uncle, Eagar Penn; four aunts, Dorothy Penn, Maxine Parker, Georgia Ferguson, Hattie Penn; a sister-in-law, Debra Penn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Consuelo's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Scott Zion Baptist Church. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
