Clytie Rosser Lipford, the third born of 11 children, fell asleep in death September 28,2023, at 5:48 A.M., in Raleigh, NC.
She was born December 24, 1925, in Rustburg, Virginia to Sonnie Buck Rosser, Sr. and Annie Nowlin Rosser. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Beverly Lipford, Sr.; sisters, Margaret Gibson, Delia Ann Coleman, Hassie Randolph, Alberta Lewis; and brothers, JB Rosser and Sonnie Rosser, Jr.
She was a faithful member of Jehovah Witness faith. She was a faithful member until her death. She enjoyed witnessing others. She even shared her faith with members of the hospice team who cared for her.
She is survived by her daughters, Angeria Lipford Davis (Ronnie) of Raleigh, NC, Jennifer Lipford Petticolas of Lynchburg, VA; son, Beverly Hartford Lipford, Jr. (Beverly) of Goldsboro, NC; sisters, Melissa Rosser of Bronx, New York and Tillie Grant of Queens, New York; brothers, James Allen Rosser (Thelma) of Rustburg, VA and Fred Rosser, Sr. of Bronx, New York; grandchildren, Beverly Lipford, III, Lamont Lipford, Kisha Petticolas, Tameka Clemons (Jerome); Angeria Smith (Anthony), Akeem Lipford; Nakkia Canady (Bryant), and Lavenia Byrge (Jonathan); great-grandchildren, Keana Cree Byrge, Joshua Clemons, Autumn Canady, Adonis Canady, Amouri Canady, and Olivia Parker; devoted niece, Patrice Rosser; many much loved nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
There will be no public viewing.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Baptist Cemetery, Wigginton Road. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
