Clifton Elmo Pannell of Lynchburg, VA passed away Tuesday night, June 10, 2014 at Avante Nursing Home. He was born November 30, 1940, a son of the late Eugene Pannell and Annie Bradley Pannell.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Renee Pannell.
He was a member of the First St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Pannell of Lynchburg; his children, Dana Slaughter, Annie Pannell, Wanda Pannell and Carolyn Pannell, all of Lynchburg; two step children, Thomas Mack (Teresa) and Debra Mack, of Lynchburg; three sisters, Dana Vann (Clifton) of Washington, DC, Dorsie Hamlett (Thomas), of Lynchburg and Catherine Clark, of Rustburg; four foster sisters, Vernestine Hicks, of GA, Lorinda Burrows, of Silver Springs, MD, Cecilia Moseley (Kenneth, of Concord, VA and Melissa Jennings, of Pamplin, VA; one foster brother, Curtis Harvey, Jr., of Altavista, VA; one aunt, IIene Pannell, of Gladys, VA; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.
