Christopher Aaron Gwaltney was born on March 12, 1987 to Michael and the late Sheila Swain Gwaltney. He departed this life on November 21, 2020, peacefully in his home, in Radford, VA.

Born and raised in Lynchburg, VA he attended E.C. Glass High School and graduated in 2005. While in high school he was a member of the marching band and played the bass drum. After high school Chris attended CVCC, where he studied computer technology and worked as an IT Technician. In 2010, Chris relocated to Radford, VA to continue his education in Networking and Computer Science at Radford University. Chris was an active member of the Radford community, both on and off campus. In addition to being a student at Radford University, he was also employed by the college for the last 10 years and served as Webmaster for the Diversity Awareness Programming Board.

Chris was able to combine his love of music and technology by becoming a DJ. He was diligent and worked hard to become the best at his craft. He loved to see people happy, dancing, and enjoying his talents. He DJ'd a variety of events from the nightclub scene, cheer competitions, weddings, and college functions. He was also opening DJ for rap artists Lil Uzi Vert and Kyle. In 2014, Chris began working for Virginia Tech as a Desktop Support Technician. While working at VT, Chris joined the Hip-Hop studies organization "Digging in the Crates". As a member, he co-taught numerous workshops that were geared towards young people that were aspiring DJs. Additionally, Chris did several events with both Radford and Virginia Tech Student Activities throughout the years.

Chris was always willing and able to lend his time, knowledge, and expertise to those in need. Chris genuinely loved his family and friends. He was gentle, loyal, and loving. He was a self-proclaimed nerd. He loved music, computers, anime, comics, and he was an avid collector of Funko pops. And he LOVED chicken nuggets and fries!!!
