In the early morning hours of August 17, 2021, Cheryl Diana Kittrell peacefully transitioned to her Heavenly home to reunite with her "first and only" love Gregg, and her firstborn son, Mario.

On July 20, 1958, Cheryl was born to Beulah Mae Miller here in Lynchburg, VA. As a teenager, she fell in love with a young handsome Kittrell from Daniels Hill who stole her heart and eventually made her his wife. Born form their love were four children, Mario, Shawn, Lakita and LG. She also raised her nephew, Carlos, as one of her own. Cheryl held down the home front while Gregg was out on the road providing for his family. She was the Queen of the 'blue house" and had no problem telling everyone they had to leave when she was read for bed. One of her greatest joys in life was being a grandmother (Gannie). She will truly be missed as a mother, grandmother, auntie, cousin, and friend.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband, Gregory L. Kittrell, Sr., her first love and oldest son, Mario T. Kittrell; two sisters, Lillie Mae Miller and Carolyn Lee Wright and one brother, Nathaniel Patterson. She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Shawn A Kittrell and his wife, TaShawna and their children, JaCori, JaKasia, and Jamarion; her daughter, Lakita S. Kittrell and her children, Quindon, Kiara, and Jahmiya; her "Babyboy", Gregory L. Kittrell, Jr.; her step-daughter, Ladwana "Byrd" Johnson and her son Jareese; one sister, Fontaine Miller and her son Carlos; one brother-in-law, Gary "Peanut" Kittrell; and one God-daughter, Shanay Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM August 23, 2021 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Dr. Carl B.
