Charles Grant Womack, Sr. passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Hickory Hill Retirement Facility in Burkeville, Virginia. He was born on August 23, 1943, to the late Fred and Margaret Anne Dennis Womack. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Lee Ferguson Womack; two brothers, Danny Womack and Roger Womack; and one sister, Shirley Womack.

Charles was a devoted Christian, loving husband and devoted father. He loved gardening, taking care of his family (near and far), he enjoyed fishing and taking part in all the joys for his beloved wife and children. He was the biggest LA Dodgers and LA Lakers fan. He had a way of living life like the true Christian he was. Not one person can utter a bad word about him. Charles, exuded the life that God, wrote about and treated everyone with love and kindness.

Those left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Charles Grant Womack, Jr. (Chuck) and Shawn Womack; one daughter, Shayla (Princess) Womack; two brothers, Fred Womack, Jr. (Buelah) and Larry Womack; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00PM Saturday, July 09, 2022, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Reverend Rickey Ferguson, Sr. as Eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
