Charles F. Ware "Sonny", 79, of Gladstone, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at UVA Medical in Charlottesville. Charles was born August 5, 1934 to the late Charlie Ware and Mable Carpenter Ware.
Charles was preceded in death by two brothers, Nolan Ware and Barry Ware; two sisters, Audrey Cousin and Emily Sparrow.

He was member of Galilee Baptist Church where he was a trustee and a faithful member until his health declined. Charles was employed at Old Dominion Box Company for thirty-seven years and also worked at Carolina Steele for 19 years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Jean Ware, of Gladstone; two daughters, Jennifer (Terry) Ferguson, of Forest and Renay Ware, of Madison Heights; one son, Stanley (Joanne) Ware, of Hampton; two brothers, Leon (Cornelia) Ware, of Monroe and Steve Ware, of Gladstone; one sister, Terry (Larry) Jordan, of Gladstone; three grandchildren, Sierria Ware, Carmichael Ware and Chip Ferguson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Galilee Baptist Church, Gladstone, with Rev. Tinsley, Pastor, Rev. Sidney Dove, Officiating and Rev. Harrison Kelso, as Eulogist.
