On Monday, September 14, 2009, God closed the weary eyes of Charles Warren Shepherd and whispered "Peace Be Thine". Born in Lynchburg Virginia he was the son of the late Robert Shepherd and Carrie B. Key Shepherd. Charles was also a member of the Immanuel Christian Church.
Charles leaves behind a loving wife, Florence Shepherd; three step children, Tiffany Garland of Lynchburg, Fernanda Cording of Lynchburg, and Kevin Garland of San Antonio, TX; one niece Carrie C. Warrick; two nephews, David Cardwell and Dennis Cardwell; 11 step grandchildren; 1 one step great grandchild and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Friday, September 18, 2009 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Dr. Mack Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Baptist Cemetery.
