Charles went home to his Heavenly Father on Friday, April 09, 2021 in Teaneck, New Jersey. He was born on July 15, 1949 in Amherst, Virginia to the late Henry and Arabell (Thomas) Sandidge. He joined St. Peter's Baptist Church at an early age. He attended schools in Amherst County and later moved to New York. He was raised by his late grandmother, Lucy Thomas. Charles was a self-employed Master Locksmith in New York City.

He was preceded in death by his two daughters; his siblings, Nannean Thompson, Elsie, Brownie and Lee Sandidge.

Those left to cherish his memories are his brother, Robert (Dorothy) Sandidge. An Uncle, who helped raise him, John (Sallie) Thomas; his nephews, Alex and Timmy Sandidge and Anthony Thompson; his niece, Pearl and nephew, George from Baltimore, Maryland; special friends, Walter Brady of Pittsburgh, PA and Regina Asaba of New York City; he also leaves behind a host of cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held 11AM Saturday, April 17, 2021 at St. Peter's Baptist Church with Rev. Jasper Fletcher, Eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery. COVID precautions will be in place. Please wear a mask. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
