On Thursday, January 30, 2025, Mr. Charles Henry Morgan transitioned beyond every human sight to fulfill his hope of living with God.

He was born on June 20, 1946, to the late Richard Morgan, Jr. and Isabelle Penn Morgan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Richard Morgan, III, Joe Lewis Morgan, and Thomas Morgan; and 2 sisters, Elizabeth and Helen Morgan.

Charles accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age and joined St. Mary's Baptist Church where he served faithfully in the Trustee Ministry and held the position of Treasurer. He was faithful to this calling until his health started to decline.

Charles graduated from Central High School and attended Job Corp. He worked and retired from Blue Ridge Railroad, where he was a dedicated foreman. Charles was one of the original members of the gospel group, The Trying Gospelteers. He also was a member of the Morning Star Lodge #105. He leaves to cherish his memory 1 brother, Harvey Morgan (Laverne); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 08, 2025, at St. Mary's Baptist Church. Mr. Morgan will be on view one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
