Obituary
Charles Edward Jones, 65, of Amherst passed away Monday, July 5, 2010 at
Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born September 5, 1944 to the late George E.
Jones and Ola Coyle Jones. Those left to cherish his memories are one daughter,
Sandra Jones, of Greensboro, NC; one sister, Lourne J. Massie, of Amherst; two
brothers, Raymond Jones, of Lowesville and Eddie Jones, of Big Island, VA;
devoted friend, Martha Hopkins, of Amherst and a host of other relatives and
friends. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 10, 2010 at
St. Mary's Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the
residence of Lourne Massie, 121 Walnut St., Amherst. Condolences may be sent to
