On Saturday. September 18, 2021, God dispatched his angels to Lynchburg General Hospital to pick up Charlena Berkley Banks. She was born on June 22, 1970 to Richard Berkley and the late Gloria Berkley.

Most of her adult life has been caring for others. She was loyal to her family and patients but after becoming a grandmother, her priority became her grandchildren.

Charlena leaves behind a devoted husband, Anthony Banks; three children, Tiana Berkley, Anthony Banks, Jr. and Autumn Banks; an honorary daughter, Kameshia Farmer; four grandchildren, Alijah Berkley, Ava Banks, Avary Banks and Azyla Trent; her father, Richard Berkley, Sr.; a brother, Richard Berkley, Jr. (Janet Miller); and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held 1PM Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Tree of Life Ministries with the Rev. Mike Dodson, Eulogist. Interment will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
