Obituary
Celestine J. Jackson, 68, of Lynchburg passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Celestine was born August 5, 1939 in Campbell County, to the late Sampson and Edith Cheatham Jones.
She will sadly be missed by her wonderful husband of over 50 years, James E. Jackson, Sr.; two daughters, Kathy Jackson, Madison Heights and Carolyn (Raymond) St. John, of Phoenix, VA; three sons, James E. Jackson, Jr., William Jackson and Roger (Zina) Jackson, all of Lynchburg; six sisters, Louise Burks, Nancy Wood, Clara (William) Johnson, Virginia (Lloyd) Jones, all of Lynchburg, Anna (Samuel) Canada, of Concord and Annie Dixon of Baltimore, Maryland; thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a hostof loving family and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Monday March 31, 2008 at New Vine Baptist Church with Dr. Mack Johnson as eulogist. The interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7-8 pm at Davis-Turner Funeral Service and other times at 80 Lively Ln, Lynchburg. Condolences may be sent to www.Davis-Turner.com.
