Carolyn A. Steward, 71, of Madison Heights, passed away Monday, Nov. 15, 2010 at
Runk & Pratt, in Forest. She was born June 22, 1939 to the late Amos and Marie
Parks Harvey. Carolyn was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara L. Moore;
two aunts, Olga Mae Parks and Thelma Leftwich; two uncles, William Leftwich and
Lorenzo Parks; one nephew, Keith Moore; one brother-in-law, Maurice Moore. She
was employed by Lynchburg General Hospital as a Registered Nurse. Those left
to cherish her memories are, her husband, Robert Steward, of Madison Heights;
two sons, Marvis Steward, of Glen Burnie, MD and Byron N. Steward (Cynthia) of
Lynchburg; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one niece, Sheila
Franklin, of Hampton; one nephew, Rev. Gary Moore, of Bluefield, WV and a host
of other relatives and friends.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 at Lovingston
Baptist Church with Rev. Edward Austin, officiating Pastor and Rev. Gary Moore,
as Eulogist. The interment will be in the Forest Hill Burial Park. The family
will receive friends Friday at the Funeral Home from 7-8 PM and other times at
