Calvin Lee Megginson, Sr., of Concord passed away June 16, 2007. Calvin was born on August 9, 1949 to Norvell Megginson and the late Emma Bell Megginson. Calvin was a long time member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Calvin was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Martin and Claude Ferguson. Those left to cherish his memories are, Doris (James) McDaniel of Concord, Consuela (Kenny) Wiley of Pamplin, Jacqueline (Lamont) Hancock of Appomattox, Calvin Lee Megginson, Jr., of Concord, Ivory Megginson, Pricilla Megginson and Paul Minneyfield all of Columbus, OH; one brother, N. Gregory (Nancy) Megginson; 11 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday, June 22, 2007 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, with Rev. Donald Foster officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The will receive friends Thursday from 6-7 Pm at Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
