Brian Keith McCoy, 48, of Lynchburg passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the son of the late William T. McCoy and Victoria F. Morrison and David S. Morrison.
At an early age he was baptized at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Brian graduated from E.C. Glass High School where he played football, wrestled, participated in track and was a member of ROTC. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army spending four years stationed at Fort Sill Oklahoma obtaining an honorable discharge. Brian worked at Aerofin and Limitorque as a welder for many years until his health begin to fail.
Brain was an avid golfer, fisherman and bowler. He loved to travel, loved to help people, loved to make people laugh, loved his family and most of all he loved the Lord.
In addition to his mother and dad, he leaves to mourn, his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Clara McCoy; three sisters, Bonita R. Morrison, Nicole D. Morrison and Camika S. Lawhorne (his care giver) all of Lynchburg; two brothers, Tony Hamlet (Denise) and Stewart Booker (Tonya), of Lynchburg; seven nieces; four nephews; four great nieces and one great nephew; one special friend Llwellyn Wynter, of Richmond and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
