Boris DeCarla Claxton, of Amherst VA, took flight and entered Heaven and embraced his savior on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the home of his brother. Boris was born on December 18, 1960, to the late George and Mable Claxton. In addition to his parents, Boris was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela T. Claxton, who answered the Lord's call on August 2, 2024; two grandsons (twins), Lincoln and Landin Claxton; sister, Victoria Miller; father-in-law, Leroy Dixon; niece, Tanisha; and nephew, Marcellous.

Boris accepted Christ and joined First Baptist Church, Coolwell. He was educated in the Lynchburg Public School System and worked at several companies in the Lynchburg and Amherst area. Boris proudly served his country for 4 years in the Army Reserves.

Boris leaves beautiful memories to be cherished by his loving and devoted children, daughter, Justis (Darrius); sons, Lamar (Samantha), Carlos (Jayla); a devoted brother, George Claxton, III; five grandsons, Lamar, Jr., Jackson, Bryson, Kyrie, and Levi; two granddaughters, Laila and Nova; mother-in-law, Barbara Dixon; two sisters-in-law, Maxine (Perry) Cabell, and Bernita Graves; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Coolwell. Interment will be in the McDaniel Family Cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
