Early Sunday morning, August 27, 2017 heaven gained another angel when our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Betty Jane Myers was called home to take her eternal rest.

Sister Betty Jane Myers, 78, was born in Nelson County on May 20, 1939, and she was one of six children born to the late Nellie Diggs Rose and Merchant B. Rose. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Betty G. Myers-McDaniel, three brothers, Clarence, Henry and Earl Rose and one sister, Mildred Smith.

Sister Myers leaves to cherish her memory a devoted friend, Dean Brown; two sons, Merchant Myers, of Lynchburg and Thurman (Cheryl) Myers, of Richmond; three grandchildren, Ebonee, of Lynchburg, Casey, of Richmond and Jay, of Amherst; sister, Rosalie Toliver, of Amherst; a long time friend, Minor Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
