Bessie Mae Scott Ward passed away, Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Lynchburg Health and Rehabilitation. She was born in Campbell County, August 22, 1921. She is survived by one granddaughter, Mary Teresa Washington; one great grandson, Michael T. Washington, of Rustburg; four devoted nieces, Lois S. Poindexter, Linda Scott, Juanita Payne and Marion S. Tweedy; three devoted nephews, Tracy Scott, Travis Scott and Tony Payne; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Ward and Catherine Scott and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
