Obituary
Bessie C. Ellison 88, of Madison Heights, transitioned to her heavenly Father, on Friday, April 26, 2013.
She was born January 23, 1925 in Bedford County, to the late Will Carroll and Eleanor Younger Carroll. Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence D. Ellison; sisters, Frances Carroll and Hennetta C. Austin; brother, William D. Carroll; son-in-law, Anthony Johnson; brother-in-law, Joseph Austin.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara E. Austin (William), of Madison Heights and Bernice D. Ellison Johnson of Lynchburg; one granddaughter, Adrienne D. Austin, of Fairfax; one sister, Louise C. McDaniel (Harry); one sister-in-law, Thelma W. Carroll of Lynchburg and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Monday, April 29, 2013 at Altha Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Marcus Jones, officiating and Rev. Warren Anderson, as eulogist.
