Barbara Mae Jones, 75, went to her eternal rest on November 21, 2025, in Lynchburg, VA at Seven Hills Rehabilitation and Nursing. She was born on January 25, 1950, to the late Lucille Bennett Jones and James Jones, Sr.

Barbara was preceded in death by her siblings James Jones, Jr., Laverne Jones, Kenneth Jones, Lillie Glover, and Rosetta Edwards. Those who are left to cherish her memories: one brother, Lawrence Jones; two devoted nieces, Tracie Garland (Leo) of Madison Heights, VA and Serena Jones (Matthew) of Lynchburg, VA; one nephew, Damon Johnson of Greensboro, NC; and a host of relatives and friends.

After high school, she went to work for Central Virginia Training Center where she retired after 30 years of service due to illness. Barbara accepted Jesus as her Lord and savior on October 30, 2025. She was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a kind, loving, giving, and caring person who would do anything for anyone. Her smile was contagious, warm, and friendly. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. She will be sadly missed.

A graveside service will be rendered at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Forest Hill Burial Park. Those who wish to share their condolences with family will have an opportunity to do so at the time of the service. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
