My'Auni Lamera Shaw passed away on July 28, 2024, at UVA Hospital.

She received her wings and slipped away, surrounded by her mother, Lashaunda Word; father, Michael Shaw; and devoted maternal grandmother, Miss Darnell Word.

She leaves to mourn her two sisters, Laniyah Word, and M'Kiyrah Shaw; two devoted uncles, Jermal Word Reed and Nymar Thomas; and other relatives and friends.

It was hard to say goodbye. Fly High our Angel, we love you. We will meet you again someday.

A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Old City Cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
