Ayesha Nanette Muneerah Richardson, better known as "Esha" to her family, friends, and the community at large, was born on March 16 (17 ^th ), 1978, in Lakewood, NJ. She lived thereafter, in Newark, NJ until moving to Lynchburg, VA. She earned her celestial wings and entered into eternal rest on December 30, 2022.

Ayesha was educated in Newark, NJ, and was a graduate of Weequahic High School.

She was predeceased by her beloved mother and father, Katie D.N. Richardson and Ernest Sowell. She was also predeceased by her grandparents; Charlene and Willie Brown; her Aunt and Uncle, Pebaleader and Samuel Pritchard; and Uncles, Franklin Stitt and Nathaniel Richardson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Latoya (Mimi) Sowell of NJ; her aunt, Mrs. Sylvia Taliaferro whom Ayesha considered her mom; her cousins, whom she considered her brothers, Khayyam Davis, Jemall Davis, and Emir Davis; her aunts, Molly Richardson of Newark, NJ, and Jessica Richardson also of Newark, NJ; two uncles, Vernon Richardson and Leroy Brown both of NJ. She also leaves a host of cousins and dear friends who will all cherish her memory. There are two cousins whom Ayesha had a special bond with, Daisy Richardson and Troy Richardson. She also leaves a very special godchild, Naziah.

If you are a relative or special friend of our beloved Ayesha and your name is not mentioned here, please know that it is not out of any form of spite or malice. It is only a lack of knowledge and space, and we know you will cherish her memory as we do.

We, the family of Ayesha, wish to take this time to thank you for all your prayers and expressions of sympathy. We know that you will miss her as we do, and we pray that you will find solace in the knowledge that she is now at rest.
