Aubrey Douglas Hughes, JR., 40, of Rustburg, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2006, at Lynchburg General Hospital. Aubrey was born November 29, 1965, to Dorothy Lee Brown and the late Obrey Douglas Hughes, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Sheila C. Hughes; two sons, Aubrey D. Hughes, III and Christopher; two daughters, Tiffany and Gabrielle Hughes; his mother, Dorothy (Tootsie) Brown and stepfather, Robert Brown; one sister, Katina Hawkins and husband Darryl; two nieces, Brianna and Makahyla Hawkins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon Monday, February 6, 2006 at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Dowell officiating. The interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Arrangements by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
