Antwan LaMontah George Rucker "Twan", of Lynchburg passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013. He was the son of Carolyn Elizabeth Price (Tony) and Richard Rucker. He was preceded in death by one aunt, Odessia Rucker and uncle, Lewis Rucker.
He was a graduate of Heritage High School with honors, playing Varsity Football, two year defensive starter 1995, 1996; second team All Seminole District, and 1996 Defensive End Captain's Award. Antwan was also a graduate of Virginia State University also with honors. He was employed by the City of Lynchburg working as a Counselor and a member of Greater Peaceful Zion Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Carolyn Elizabeth Price (Tony), of Lynchburg; his father, Richard Rucker; his grandparents whom he cherish and loved Robert and Hazel E. Roach, of Lynchburg; one aunt, Dorothy R. Johnson (James), of Washington, DC; three uncles, Willie Rucker, Jr., Preston Rucker and Andrew Rucker and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, November 15, 2013 at Greater Peaceful Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Randolph, officiating. The interment will be in the Forest Hill Burial Park.
