Antoine Aundre Pettigrew, Sr., 43, was born April 23, 1964 in Concord, VA. Our beloved was the son of Geraldine Gaines Pettigrew and the Late Louis I. Pettigrew, Sr. of Concord, VA and the son-in-law of Dorothy Jones Johnson and the late Robert F. Johnson of Amherst, VA. On Friday, June 15, 2007 he was called to rest. Antoine was also preceded in death by his brother Clinton Pettigrew, Sr. He was a member of Mt. Peeler Baptist Church where he served on the Men's Chorus and the Gospel Chorus. He was employed by Asplundh tree service. Antoine is survived by his wife, Peggy of Concord; three daughters, Deona (Corey) Wright of South Carolina, Adrienne and Channa Pettigrew of Concord; one son, Antoine Pettigrew, Jr; seven brothers, Louis (Shirley) Pettigrew, Jr., Bobby (Connie) Pettigrew, Kenneth (Sandra) Pettigrew, Chester (Faye) Pettigrew, Danny (Barbara) Pettigrew, Kirk (Diana) Pettigrew and Avon Pettigrew; two sisters-in-law, Joyce (Willie) Woods and Janice (Jerome Houston) Johnson; two brothers-in-law, Ray (Joan) Johnson and Stan Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held 12 noon Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Mt. Peeler Baptist Church, with Rev. Calvin Coles officiating. Interment will be in the Archer Creek Cemetery.
