Annie Burton Richie departed this earthly life to enter eternal rest on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Southside Community Hospital, Farmville, Virginia. She was born November 27, 1955 in Bedford County to the late Lawrence Edward Burton, Sr. and Kathleen Brown Burton. Annie was preceded in death by her sister, Vergie Cheatwood and her brother, Arthur "Spot" Burton. Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Kaleshia Richie and LaToya Annette Richie; one brother, Lawrence Edward Burton, Jr. of Roanoke; devoted friend, Donnie Richie; two devoted sister-in-laws, Barbara Richie and Robin Richie; son-in-law, Charley "Chip" Paige, Jr.; the love of her life her grandchildren, Jayliean, Kayla and Markell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Elder Roscoe Richie, officiating and Dr. L.S. Otey, as Eulogist.
