IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Annette R.
Mack
December 19, 1965 – November 23, 2022
On Wednesday, November 23 rd the heavenly gates opened for his child, Annette Rena Mack, and she was embraced with outstretched arms to be with our Heavenly Father. Annette, at the young age of 56, transitioned peacefully from this life in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. For seven years following a brain aneurysm in 2015, she was able to build lasting memories with family and friends.
Born December 19, 1965, in Rocky Mount, VA to Richard L. Mack (deceased) and Juanita V. Mack. Annette was educated in Franklin County Schools. After years in the workforce, she pursued an Associates from Patrick Henry Community College and continued on to gain both a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Averett University in Business Administration.
It's not enough to say Annette was very active in her community and church. Annette dedicated her life to Christ many years ago joining Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. She served her church as a devoted member serving on several committees, and singing in the Ladies Chorus, among others. Not only was she a faithful member, but she was also very passionate in shaping her community by actively volunteering to help register voters, working the polls, and assisting with campaigns.
Some of her hobbies included cooking/grilling, travel, attending concerts or plays, drinking her famous 'Mountain Dew', and simply spending time with friends and family. You could often hear her say "I just love my family" followed by that famous smile and laugh that will be missed.
Annette leaves to cherish in her memories: her mother, Juanita Mack of Rocky Mount; one daughter, Latanda Mack-Fuller (Shad Fuller, husband) of Atlanta; one sister, Regina Mack Ramsey of Virginia Beach; one brother, Randall Gray of Detroit; two nieces, Britney Ramsey and Nicole Ramsey of Virginia Beach; one nephew, Anthony "TJ" Ramsey of Virginia Beach; one great-nephew, Issac Papillon of Virginia Beach; former fiancé, Jeremiah Wilson of Buffalo, NY; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A homegoing celebration will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 03, 2022, at Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 675 Colonial Turnpike, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. Annette will lie in state from 12-6 PM Friday, December 02, 2022, at Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Holy Trinity Memorial Garden.
