On Monday, June 27, 2022, God opened the gates of heaven and welcomed his earthly angel, Anna Pennix, into eternal rest. Roberta attended Amherst County Public Schools and worked at Central Virginia Training Center until her retirement after 30 years of service.

Roberta accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Fairmont Baptist Church. Later she attended Scott Zion Baptist Church where she enjoyed sharing testimonies of God's blessings, grace, and mercies renewed every day. Roberta was affectionately known for her memorable story-telling and love for music and the Lord. As her health declined, she loved singing to other nursing home residents, sharing the love of God, and she cherished moments of worship and Bible Study with pastors and family.

Roberta leaves to celebrate her life and legacy, her sons; Irvine (Jocelyn), Sylvester (Jackie), Otis (Denise), Robert (Dolores), Donald (Patricia), Chubby, and James (Lisa); daughter, Mary (Wayne) Clark; sister, Gracie Evans and favorite brother-in-law, Lloyd 'Boo' Evans; 23 Grandchildren; 30 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Great-Great Grandchildren; numerous added daughters & sons and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
