Andrew Neal Brown, Sr. 59, 8009 Hunting Creek Road, Clover, departed this life on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Halifax County on March 14, 1951, the son of the late Adolphus Brown, Sr., and Mrs. Emma Ewell Brown. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Charlie, Archie and Flave. Andrew was the husband of Mrs. Barbara Jean Coleman Brown. He was a member of Bethel Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Andrew Neal Brown, Jr., of Arlington; 3 sisters, E. Diane and Hattie G. Brown both of Clover and Preteasta (Tee) Barksdale (Alfred) of Lynchburg; 5 brothers, J. Harold (Betty), Adolphus, M. Dwight, Lionell Brown all of Clover and Randy Brown (Mary) of Forest; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Bettie M. Coleman of Scottsburg, nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m., today, August 4, at Bethel Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. William J. Coleman, eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
