Obituary
On Monday morning February 2, 2015, God sent an angel for Alma Frederick "No more suffering, no more pain her struggle is over."
Alma was born September 15, 1913 in Gladstone, VA, the oldest daughter of the late John I. Jeffries and Hattie M. Jeffries.
Alma accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Second Mineral Springs Baptist Church, Gladstone, VA.
She met and married Otto Frederick and from this union one son, Otto Junior (Deceased) was born. Alma joined Union Baptist Church in Orange, NJ serving on many committees and organizations.
When her health begin to fail, she became under the care of her niece, Gwendolyn Ann Weathersbee. After suffering a stroke, she was admitted to the Summit Health and Rehabilitation, Lynchburg, VA
The family would like to express a special thanks to the Summit staff for their loving and compassion care given to our love one Alma Frederick.
She leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Hattie Gibson, of Gladstone and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon, Saturday February 7, 2015 at Forest Level Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Echols, officiating. The interment will be in Jeffries Family Cemetery, Gladstone, VA. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
