On Saturday, January 6, 2024, the life of Alfred Jordan, Jr. closed on earth, and he began a beautiful new journey with God. Born on February 16, 1956, in Amherst County, he was the son of the late Alfred Jordan, Sr. and Alberta Zella (Kidd) Jordan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Claude "Chucky" Jordan and Joseph "Joe" Jordan, and nephew, Jaguar Vaughan.

Al worked in construction until his retirement. He loved spending time with family and watching his beloved Washington Commanders, formerly Redskins.

Al leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mary Jordan of Lynchburg, VA; daughter, Jammie Jackson Blake of New Jersey; two granddaughters, Jordan and Drew also of New Jersey; his siblings, Hazel Turner (Keith) of Madison Heights, Curtis Jordan (Sandy) of Madison Heights, Reggie Jordan (Latoya) of Lynchburg, Christopher Jordan (Ada) of Frederick, MD, Stephanie Pannell (Rudolph) of Madison Heights, and Michael Jordan of Elkton, VA. Two special nieces, Porsche Moorman of Gladstone, VA and Mercedes Vaughan of Lynchburg, VA; two special nephews, Quinton Jordan and Monty Ruiz-Garcia of Lynchburg, VA; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Spinner (Ricky) and Bernice Crawley of Lynchburg, VA; one brother-in-law, Louis (Lynn) Edward's of Lynchburg, VA; three aunts, Dorothea Megginson and Jean Megginson of Appomattox, VA, and Gloria Spinner of Madison Heights, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, cousins, and friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Centra Health and Centra Oncology. Following the services guests are invited to fellowship with the family at the home of Hazel and Keith Turner of Madison Heights, VA.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
